Gomes Engineering Works

You can find us in Andheri East, tucked into the Sarvodaya Industrial Estate at unit number 3. This place has been our base for a long time. Engineering is what we do, which mostly means we are covered in a bit of grease and metal shavings by the end of the day. Gomes Engineering Works isn't a massive factory with robots. It’s more about lathes and drills and people who know how to use their hands. Andheri East is always crowded, so getting materials in can be a headache, but we’ve figured out the timing over the years. The estate itself is old, but it works for us. We do a lot of small repair jobs and custom metal pieces that the bigger shops won't bother with. It is loud inside when everyone is working at once, but that’s the sound of making a living. We don't spend money on fancy signs or shiny brochures. Most of our work comes from people who have been coming here for years or someone who heard about us from a neighbor. We keep the tools organized, or at least we try to. Every day is a bit different depending on what part broke or what new thing needs to be built. We just take it as it comes and try to do a solid job. It’s a practical way to spend the day, and we like being part of this local industrial community.
