We have been here in Vikhroli at the industrial suburb for quite a long time now. The area around 1st Main 2nd Stage is usually pretty busy with trucks and people moving about all day. This place has changed a lot since we first started but the work keeps going on the same way. We mostly deal with manufacturing different types of things and the shop floor is always noisy which is just how it is in this part of town. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the shortcuts through the industrial estate by heart. It is a big setup and sometimes it takes a while to get from one side of the campus to the other. There is always some new project happening or an old machine getting fixed up. We don't really do anything fancy in the office, just the usual paperwork and keeping track of the production schedules. The rains here can be a bit much sometimes but the roof stays mostly dry. It’s a practical place to work and everyone just puts their head down and does what needs doing. You can hear the machines running from the road outside. We have grown over the decades but the core of what we do remains tied to these buildings and the people who show up every morning. It is not the quietest spot in Mumbai but it is where we belong.
