Global Trade Link Exporter works out of Bhayander East. Our office is No 501 in the B Wing of Om Vihar, which is part of the KK Gupta Industrial Estate. Being on the fifth floor means we get a bit of a breeze, which is nice in the summer. The industrial estate is a maze of buildings and small factories. Our day starts with a lot of phone calls and checking on shipping schedules. We deal with exporters and logistics, so there is always a pile of documents on the main table. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with different people to make sure things move from one place to another. The office is usually a bit messy with samples and files tucked into every corner. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of staff. It’s just a small team of us sitting here in Bhayander. Sometimes the elevators in the building act up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is quite a climb to 501. Most of our work is done on computers and over the phone. We spend hours looking at tracking numbers and talking to transport guys. It’s not the most exciting job, but it is what we do. The KK Gupta area is always buzzing with activity, so there is never a quiet moment. We’ve stayed in Om Vihar because it’s a good central spot for us and our contacts.
