Global Placement Services

Our office for Global Placement Services is over at 19 T, Baisnab Ghata Bye Line. We are in the Gayatri Apartment building, right on the third floor. You have to walk up a few flights, which can be a bit tiring in the Kolkata humidity, but it’s good exercise I suppose. Naktala is a nice part of the city to be in. It feels very lived-in and real. Our office isn't very large. It’s basically just a few rooms where we handle all the placement stuff. We have piles of resumes and folders everywhere. It looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We don't have a fancy waiting room with a TV or anything. People just sit on the chairs we have in the hallway while they wait to talk to us. We try to keep the fans running all day to stay cool. Working in recruitment means we talk to a lot of different people every day. Some are nervous, some are excited, and we just try to be straight with them. It is a very human kind of job. We’ve been in this apartment for a long time, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We are more focused on the work. It’s just a regular local business doing its best in Naktala.
