Gayatri Art

Our shop is Gayatri Art, located at Shop No. 3 in Singlari Nagar on C.S. Road. We are very close to Vidya Mandir School in Dahisar East. Because of the school, the street gets very loud and busy during the mornings and when the kids leave in the afternoon. You can hear the bells and the shouting from our front door. The shop itself is a bit on the smaller side. We have to be careful about how we organize things so we don’t run out of room. C.S. Road always has some traffic, mostly people walking to the station or parents picking up their children. We have a small bench inside where people can sit while they wait. The walls are covered with different samples and pieces of work we’ve done over the months. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We usually keep a radio playing in the background at a low volume. It’s a neighborhood place. Most of our customers live within walking distance or have kids at the school nearby. We don’t do any big advertising. People just see the sign when they walk past. The afternoon sun hits the front window directly, so we have a faded curtain we pull across to keep the glare out. It’s just us doing our work in Dahisar, keeping things moving as best as we can every day. We don't worry too much about the small stuff.
