Future Home Furniture

We’ve been here on M G Road in Mathikere for quite some time now. If you know the area, you probably know the Bangur Nagar Police Station; we are right opposite that on Ms Ramaiah Rd. It’s a busy spot, always lots of noise from the traffic and people going about their day. The shop itself is called Future Home Furniture. We mostly have things like wooden cupboards, some dining sets, and beds stacked up. It isn’t one of those massive glass buildings you see in the city center. It’s just a regular place where we keep stock and show people what we have available. Usually, it’s just me or one of the boys here to help move things around. We get a lot of locals coming in from the nearby apartments. Sometimes they want something custom, other times they just need a cheap stool or a plastic chair. The dust is a bit of a problem because of the main road, so we spend half the morning just wiping things down before anyone shows up. My father started doing this and I just sort of took over after a while. We don’t really do much advertising. People just see the sign when they are stuck in traffic or walking to the station. It works out fine for us. We just try to keep things simple and get the furniture delivered to the houses nearby without too much fuss or unnecessary delay. That’s about all there is to it.
