Fushan Crane

Working around Worli West usually means being surrounded by big offices and fancy cars, but at Fushan Crane, our minds are mostly on heavy lifting. We are over in the Sumera Kendra Building, right near Mahindra Towers and G.M. Bhosale Marg. It’s a busy part of the city, but our work takes us to construction sites and industrial yards all over. We deal with cranes—those big machines that move the world. It’s a lot of responsibility because if a crane isn't set up right, things get dangerous fast. Most of our days are spent checking specs or talking to operators on the phone. The office is a bit of a mix of blueprints and coffee mugs. We’ve been doing this for a while, and we’ve seen the skyline change quite a bit from our windows. People think it’s all about the machines, but it’s really about the timing and making sure the logistics work out. Sometimes we’re stuck in traffic for an hour just trying to get a few blocks over to a site. It’s frustrating, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We don't have a lot of time for polished presentations. Usually, we're just out in the field wearing hard hats or dealing with maintenance logs. If you need something heavy moved, we're the ones looking at the rigging and the wind speeds. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit stressful when the deadlines are tight. We just get through it one job at a time.
