Our office is up on the ninth floor of the O2 Galleria in Vikhroli West. It’s a big space, spanning three units from 902 to 904. It gets quite a lot of light in the afternoons, which is nice when you are stuck at a desk. We’ve been handling household products here for a good amount of time. If you know the Mani Majra area or Sector 34 C, you know it can get pretty crowded during rush hour. Most of us take the train or deal with the traffic on the way in. Inside, it’s mostly just people on phones, laptops, and boxes of samples lying around. We make things people use every day in their kitchens or for cleaning up their homes. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s practical. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so you end up waiting around talking to people from the other offices. We have our routines, morning meetings that sometimes go too long, and lunch breaks where everyone goes down to find something to eat. We aren’t really trying to be anything other than a solid workplace where things get done. The paperwork piles up, the phones ring, and we just handle it one thing at a time. Being in Vikhroli keeps us pretty central to everything else going on in Mumbai. It’s a lot of coordination between the different departments to keep things moving. There is always a lot to do, but we manage it.
