You can find our shop at Unit No-2 in Nair Wadi, along Ayappa Mandir Marg. It’s right off Kherani Road in Sakinaka. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know it’s always crowded and the roads are quite narrow. We have a small unit where we handle all sorts of fluid engineering tasks. Mostly, we work on pumps, valves, and piping systems for the local factories. The shop is always a bit noisy because of the machines and the traffic outside. We’ve been here since the nineties, and the area has changed a lot since then. There are so many more buildings now. Our team is small, just a few experienced guys who know their way around a wrench. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a workshop with a small desk for the phone and some catalogs. We spend most of our time covered in a bit of oil or grease. It’s just the way it goes with this kind of work. During the monsoon, we have to be careful because the street can get quite flooded. We’ve had to lift our machines up on blocks a few times. We don't do any fancy promotions or have a big mission statement. We just fix the things that people bring to us. It’s a busy life, but we like being part of the community here in Sakinaka.
