F M Industries

Down in Dahisar East, space is always a bit tight. F M Industries is based in A-103, Acme Amrut, over in Vaishali Nagar. It’s a typical Mumbai setup where you have to make the most of every square foot you’ve got. We do a lot of light industrial work here, and the sound of the equipment is just part of the daily hum of the building. Being in a place like Acme Amrut means you’re always bumping into people in the hallways or at the lift. It’s a tight-knit community of small businesses all trying to make it in the city. We spend our days managing production and making sure we don't run out of raw materials, which is harder than it looks when you don't have much storage room. The commute for some of us is long, but that’s just life in Mumbai. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep the mood light while we work. It’s not a fancy glass-walled office with a view, but it’s where we get things done. Sometimes the electricity acts up, or the deliveries get stuck in traffic for hours, but we just roll with it. We’ve been here long enough to know all the local delivery guys and the best place to get a quick vada pav for lunch. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy life, but it’s ours.
