Down at G/14 in Lower Parel, specifically near the 8th Cross, you’ll find our little workshop. We go by Expree Tubes & Valves. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of metal clanking and machines humming nearby. Our place is mostly full of long metal pipes, brass valves, and heavy fittings stacked against the walls. It smells like iron and oil inside, which is just how it is when you deal with hardware. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights. Most people who come here are looking for a specific part for a plumbing job or a factory repair. We spend a lot of time measuring things with calipers and checking thread sizes. It’s precise work, even if our hands are usually greasy. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's hot outside. We have a small table where we sit and eat lunch between orders. Sometimes people stop by just to ask if we have a rare valve that no one else carries. We usually have to dig through the back piles to find it. It's a bit disorganized at times, but we know where everything is. We don't bother with much advertising. Most of our customers have been coming to the 8th Cross for years. It’s just us doing what we know, which is selling metal parts that hold things together. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It's just simple shop life.
