We’re located at 43 Nagdevi Cross Lane, on the first floor. Nagdevi is a very specific kind of place in Mumbai. It’s the heart of the hardware and industrial tool market, so every inch of the street is packed with shops and people carrying heavy loads. Our office is up a narrow flight of stairs. Since we deal with cranes and engineering, you might expect a huge warehouse, but this is where the planning and the paperwork happen. The actual big equipment is usually elsewhere, but this is our base. The room is usually full of drawings, technical specs, and the sound of the ceiling fan. It’s a busy environment because Nagdevi never really stops moving. We’ve been here long enough to know all the tea sellers and the other business owners on the lane. The office isn't anything fancy—just some old wooden desks and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our days coordinating with sites and making sure the engineering side of things is handled correctly. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with the noise from the street coming through the windows, but we’re used to it by now. We just do our work, keep our files in order, and make sure we’re ready for whatever the next project brings our way. It’s just us, doing our thing in a very busy part of town.
