Earth Zone

Earth Zone is found at 135 Golibar Road, along A K Marg. It’s a hectic area, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the businesses along the road. We deal with various items, mostly related to hardware or general supplies depending on what’s needed. The floor is concrete and often has a bit of dust because of the heavy trucks passing by outside. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, filled with stuff that we’ve collected over time. Finding something specific can take a minute, but we usually know exactly which pile it’s in. There’s a small stool near the entrance where we sit when there aren't any customers. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually pull the shade down halfway. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking inventory lists. We don't use any high-tech systems; a simple notebook and a pen do just fine for keeping track of things. People from the nearby construction sites or local houses come in looking for specific parts or tools. Sometimes we just talk about the weather or how the traffic on A K Marg is getting worse every year. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s sturdy and serves the purpose for the people around Golibar Road. We close up when it gets dark and the streetlights come on. It’s a lot of lifting and organizing but it keeps us on our feet all day.
