Durian Furniture

We spend most of our time here at Durian Estate in Goregaon East. It is right across from Oberoi Mall, so there is always a lot of noise and traffic outside our doors. Most days, we are just moving sofas or tables around the floor to make room for new things arriving. The building has been here for a while and everyone in Anand Nagar knows where we are. It gets pretty dusty with all the construction happening nearby, but we try to keep the pieces clean. Our staff usually eats lunch together in the back room when things quiet down around mid-afternoon. Sometimes the mall traffic makes it hard for delivery trucks to get in or out, so we have to plan things early in the morning. We have been in this spot for years and it feels like home now. You can see the mall lights from the front window when it gets dark. It is a busy area but we like the energy of Goregaon. We have a few regulars who drop by just to see what is new on the floor. Most of the work is just lifting heavy wood and making sure nothing gets scratched while we move it. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. The estate itself has other businesses, so there is always someone walking past.
