We are based up on the sixth floor of the Earth Classic building on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road. It is a busy part of Matunga East, and the traffic outside is almost always loud. Being in Mumbai is different from being out in the fields, but this is where we handle the side of the business that connects the farms to the city. We spend our days dealing with logistics and making sure the natural products we handle are moving the way they should. It is a lot of screen time and talking on the phone with suppliers from all over. The office isn't very large, and it often feels a bit cramped with all the files and samples we keep around. We started this because we saw a gap between what the farmers were growing and what people in the city were actually getting. It isn't a fancy setup. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep up with the endless emails. Sometimes the internet goes slow or a delivery gets stuck in the city traffic for hours. That’s just how it goes here. We aren't trying to be some big corporate giant. We are just a small team trying to make sure the connection between the dirt and the dinner table stays solid. It is a lot of coordination and late nights for everyone involved here in the office.
