You can find the office of Dr Manish M Shah at 501 in the Samrock Building, which is located on Juhu Lane in Andheri West. It’s a professional space but we try to keep it from feeling too cold or clinical. Being up on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street below. Juhu Lane is always crowded with cars and people, but once the elevator doors open, it’s a lot quieter. The waiting room has some old magazines and enough chairs for the people who come in throughout the day. We’ve been at Samrock for a good number of years now. It’s a familiar routine—opening up the files, checking the appointments, and seeing who walks through the door. It’s not a huge hospital setup, just a focused practice where things are kept relatively simple. We don't use any big medical jargon when we talk to people; we just try to explain things in a way that makes sense. Sometimes the wait gets a little long if a previous visit runs over, but people generally understand how it goes. The staff here has been around for a while, so we know the regulars who come in for their check-ups. We don't do any flashy advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone they know suggested they come to Juhu Lane. It’s just us here, doing our work every day.
