Dr. Kamal Parikh Clinic

You can find Dr. Kamal Parikh Clinic over in Vile Parle East. We are in the Minoo Apartment on Sant Muktabai Road. It’s a nice, relatively quiet street compared to the main roads in Mumbai. I’ve been practicing here for a long time. The clinic is part of the apartment building, so it has a very domestic, comfortable feel to it. It’s not like those glass-and-steel clinics you see in the mall. Here, you feel like you are just visiting a neighbor’s house. I like that vibe. It makes my patients feel more at ease, I think, especially when they are nervous about a checkup. Vile Parle East is a great community. Most of the people who come to see me live within walking distance of the clinic. We talk about the neighborhood and how things are changing while I do my work. Sant Muktabai Road has its own rhythm and I’ve become part of it over the decades. I’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own families here now. It’s a small practice. I don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. I just have my desk, my examination table, and the basic things I need to check on people. It’s practical.
