We are located in a chawl in Vikhroli, the Ravji Sojpal Chawl to be exact. The address mentions Sewri Naka and Tj Road as well, which can be confusing for some. It’s unit H-4/14. Working in a chawl is different from a modern office building. There’s a sense of community here that you don’t find elsewhere. You know all the neighbors and what they’re cooking for lunch. Dinaz has been here for years, and the space reflects that. It’s small and every inch is used for something. We have files stacked up and a small area to sit and talk. The walls have some old calendars and a few photos. It’s not a place for someone looking for luxury. The floor is plain stone and the door is usually left open to let some air in. You can hear the bustle of the street and people talking in the corridors. It’s a very honest kind of place. We handle our business with a pen and paper mostly, though we have a phone that rings quite often. It’s about being part of the local fabric. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It’s just a small office in an old part of town where we get our work done. It’s been home to our business for a long time and we like the familiarity of the community that surrounds us every day.
