Diamond Barasati Plastic

Being located in Parel, right on Senapati Ba Marg, means we are always in the middle of a lot of noise. Our spot is at Diamond Barasati Plastic in the Kewal Indl Est, specifically building 226 in Puspraj Panduranga Wadi. It's a bit of a tight corner to get into. We have rolls of plastic stacked up everywhere, sometimes nearly touching the ceiling. You have to navigate the stacks carefully or you'll get stuck in a narrow gap. Most of our day is spent moving these heavy rolls around for people. It smells like fresh plastic in here all the time, which you get used to after a while. The office part is just a small wooden desk near the front door where we keep the books. When it rains, the sound on the roof of the industrial estate is so loud we can hardly talk to each other. We just keep our heads down and keep working through the orders. We’ve been at this Parel location for a good while, so we know all the local tea sellers and the other shop owners around the wadi. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we manage our stock and talk to the people who stop by. The floor is concrete and has seen better days, but it serves its purpose for what we do every day.
