We work out of Unit No 6/7 in the Mahal Industrial area in Andheri East. It is a proper industrial zone, so there is always the sound of machines and welding going on nearby. We are service engineers. That means we are usually covered in some kind of grease or dust. Our unit is not a place for visitors to come and have coffee. It is a workspace with tools and parts scattered around. We fix things and make sure machines are running right. Andheri East is a tough place to work because of the heat and the crowds, but being in Mahal Industrial gives us the space we need. We have a small team of guys who know their way around an engine or a circuit board. We don't write big reports or have long meetings. We just look at the problem and try to get it sorted so the customer can get back to their own work. It is loud and messy, but we like it that way. We have been in this unit for several years now. The rent goes up but we stay here because it is a good location for getting parts and being near our clients. We aren't corporate people. We are just mechanics and engineers who like working with our hands. Every day is different depending on what breaks down or what needs a tune-up. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
