Dhiren Shah

Dhiren Shah is based at number 29 in the Sai Sankalp Society. This is in the Station View Building, which is right opposite the railway station in Chembur. It’s a very lively spot to be. You can hear the trains arriving and leaving all day long. The announcements from the station platform are like a clock for us. When we hear the fast train to CSMT, we know what time it is. Being in the Station View Building means there are always people around. It’s a bit chaotic, but we like the energy of it. The office at 29 is not very big. We have to be careful how we arrange things so we don't run out of room. It’s definitely not a corporate setup with a big reception desk. It’s just a place where we work. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or paintings. We just focus on the tasks we have to finish. Sometimes the station area gets really crowded, and it’s hard to even walk to the door, but that’s just Chembur life. We’ve been here for years, so we are used to the noise and the crowds. Most of the people who come to see us are locals who know the area well. We just keep things simple and try to get through our list of things to do every day. It’s just us doing our thing by the tracks.
