Dhara Industries

Dhara Industries is tucked away in Kachpada, Malad 8. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. Our building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s where we do all our manufacturing. Inside, it’s often quite warm because of the machines running all day. We have a small team of workers who know their jobs well. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what we’re making and packing things into boxes. The floor is concrete and can be hard on your feet after a long day. We have a small office area where we keep all the paperwork, though it usually ends up covered in dust from the factory floor. Malad is a busy hub, and getting materials in and out can be a challenge with the narrow roads around Kachpada. We’ve had to learn how to fix our own machines when they break down because we can't afford to stop production for long. It’s a tough business, but we’ve been at it for a while now. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the items we produce and try to get them out the door on time. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting together and chatting about whatever is on the news. It is a loud environment, but we are used to shouting over the noise to get things done.
