Dev Priya Herbal operates out of Mittal Court in Nariman Point. Our specific unit is 110/a. Nariman Point is famous for being a big business hub, but our office is pretty humble once you step inside. We deal with herbal goods and ingredients. The office is basically one large room divided by some plywood partitions. It’s filled with the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional ring of the landline. We have a lot of samples stored in plastic containers on the shelves behind the desks. Sometimes the smell of sandalwood or neem drifts through the air. Being in South Mumbai, the commute is a big part of our day. Most of us spend a lot of time on the local trains. The office is a bit old-fashioned. We still have some of those heavy metal filing cabinets that screech when you open them. We don't have any of those modern bean bags or fancy coffee machines. We just have a kettle and some instant coffee powder. The view from the building is mostly other office towers, but if you go down to the street, you're right by the sea. We stay busy with the logistics of moving products from the farms to the customers. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls to different parts of the country. We just try to keep things moving as efficiently as we can.
