Deutsche Bank

We are set up in Ramraj Bhavan, which is in the Railway Bazar area of Haldwani. It is up here in the Nainital district of Uttaranchal. It might seem a bit strange to some people to have a name like Deutsche Bank in a busy bazaar, but this is where we are. The building is an older one, and the whole area is always full of people buying and selling things for their homes or for the trains. We handle the banking side of things for the local residents and some of the small businesses around here. It gets quite cold during the winter months, so we usually have a small heater going in the corner to keep us warm. The office is not like the ones you see in the movies with glass walls and fancy lights. It is just a practical space where we handle deposits and a lot of paperwork. We talk to many different people every day, from farmers to shop owners. Everyone knows everyone else in the bazaar, so news tends to travel very fast. We try to keep our heads down and just do the work correctly. The traffic outside can be a real mess with all the rickshaws and delivery trucks going by. We do not really do any big advertising around here. Most people just walk in because they were already nearby at the market. It is a busy life in Haldwani, and we are just a small part of it.
