Desire Furniture

Our shop is Shop No 1 at Manish Nagar, 4 Bungalows, in Andheri West. It’s a busy corner of the city. Inside, the space is packed with different pieces of furniture like wardrobes, tables, and chairs. There isn't much room to walk around because we try to fit as much as we can on the floor. You can usually smell the wood and the polish as soon as you step inside. Desire Furniture is a local spot where people come to see what they can get for their homes. We don't have a big warehouse, so what you see in the shop is mostly what we have. Sometimes we are busy moving a heavy cupboard out to a delivery rickshaw. The street outside is always noisy with people shopping at the nearby markets. We spend our day dusting the surfaces and talking to anyone who walks in to ask about prices. The floor is a bit uneven and the walls could use some paint, but it’s a working shop. We don't have a fancy showroom vibe. It’s more of a place where you can touch the wood and see how the drawers slide. We stay open until late evening because that’s when the Andheri crowd is out. It’s just a simple furniture store run by people who like being in the middle of Manish Nagar. We just handle the daily sales and help people figure out how to fit a sofa into their flat.
