Deepak Plastic General Store

Deepak Plastic General Store is located in Chembur at Shop No T/187, in the Old Barrack,Che area. This part of Chembur has a lot of history, and you can see it in the way the buildings are clustered together. Our store is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of plastic goods. We have buckets, bins, and containers stacked up everywhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles sometimes. I’ve been working here for years, and I know exactly where every single item is hidden, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. The heat in the afternoon can be quite something because of all the plastic, but we just keep the door wide open. People from the nearby blocks come in for their daily household needs. It’s a very local vibe. We don’t bother with fancy displays or computer systems. We just write everything down in a notebook. Sometimes the kids from the street come in just to look at the colorful mugs. It’s a noisy, dusty, and busy place, especially on the weekends. We have been in the Old Barrack for so long that we’ve seen families grow up and move away. It’s just a basic general store, nothing more and nothing less. We take things one day at a time, selling one bucket or one broom at a time. It is a simple way to spend the day and talk to the neighbors.
