Deepak Govind Industries

Deepak Govind Industries is located at Ghoga Street 5. It’s an old building and we’ve been here for quite some time. The street is narrow, which makes it a bit difficult for big vehicles to pass. We mostly do industrial work, making small parts and handling metal. The machines we use are old but they still work well. It’s a noisy environment. You can hear the clanking from the end of the block. We don't have any fancy decorations. The walls are just plain concrete with some old calendars hanging up. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. We start work early and usually finish by the evening. Ghoga Street has a lot of history and we feel like a part of it. We don't have a corporate structure. I’m usually on the floor with the guys, checking the work myself. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just make things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait for it to come back. It gives us a chance to sit and talk. We don't have a website or a brochure. People who need our type of work usually find us through someone they know. It’s a practical way to run a business. We just focus on the job at hand and try to stay busy. It gets hot in the summer but the fans help a bit. That is just how it is.
