Darshan Industrial Service

Our office is up on the 1st Floor, Room No. 4, at 261 Yusuf Maherali Road. If you know the Nagdevi area, you know how crowded and busy it gets with all the industrial shops and handcarts. Darshan Industrial Service operates out of this small room, and it’s usually packed with samples and old catalogs from various suppliers. The stairs leading up to the first floor are a bit steep and narrow, so carrying heavy items up is always a bit of a struggle for us. We focus on industrial services, which means we spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at the old wooden desk trying to source parts for people. It’s not the quietest place to work because you can hear the shouting and the traffic from the street below all day long. The walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves about different orders. We don't have air conditioning, just a single ceiling fan that clicks a bit while it spins. Customers who come up to see us are usually regulars from the market downstairs. They know they can find us here even if the sign outside has faded over the years. It’s a very practical way to run a business. We don't have a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but we make it work.
