I've been working out of House 51 in the Fort Ramana Ashish building for quite a while now. It is right on Shantilal Modi Road, not too far from the Central Bank and pretty much across from the High Court. Most days start early here because the area gets busy fast. Usually, there is a lot of paperwork on my desk and people coming in and out throughout the afternoon. It is an old part of the city, and you can feel that history when you walk up the stairs. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get the work done. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, especially being so close to the court, but we are used to it by now. I spend a lot of my time reading through files or talking on the phone with folks who need help. My desk stays cluttered most of the week, but I know where everything is. People find us easily enough because of the bank nearby. It’s a practical spot for what I do. Some days are longer than others, especially when there are deadlines to meet or documents to file before the day ends. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure things move along as they should. It’s a steady pace here, and we like being part of this local neighborhood. It keeps us grounded.
