Damodar Communication Center

We run the Damodar Communication Center out of a small space in Mora Village. Our address is 71 J R Mhatre Road, which is tucked away in the Juhu area. It doesn't feel like the fancy part of Juhu with the big hotels and movie stars. Mora Village is more of a tight-knit community where everyone knows each other. Our shop is where people come when they need to get a document copied or maybe buy a small bit of electronics. We have been here at number 71 for a good while. The road outside, J R Mhatre Road, is narrow and gets quite congested with bikes and pedestrians. Inside, we have our counters and some shelves with various things we sell. It’s not a high-tech hub, just a local center for people to handle their communication needs. We spend a lot of time chatting with the regulars who live just down the lane. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait it out, but that's just how it goes here. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. People just know we are here because they walk past us every day. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We like the local feel of the village and the fact that we can help our neighbors with small tasks. It gets a bit noisy during festivals, but that is part of the charm.
