D. T. Ranawat & Bros. has its office in Building No. 276 on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road. We are situated right in the Fort area, which is a very old and busy part of the city. If you find Hotel Oasis, we are just on the floor above it. The General Post Office is also very close by, so that is a good landmark for anyone trying to find where we are. This building has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk up the old stairs. We have been here for many years. It is a family-run kind of thing, as you can see from the name on the door. Our daily routine involves a lot of paperwork and meeting with people who stop by the office. Because we are near the G.P.O., there is always a lot of movement and noise in the streets below. Sometimes the traffic is so loud we have to close the windows, but usually, we like the breeze coming in. The office itself is filled with files and old wooden desks. It isn't anything like those modern glass buildings you see in other parts of town. It is practical and serves its purpose for our business. We know the other shop owners and office workers in this block quite well. Fort is a place where everyone seems to know everyone else. We just come in every morning and do our work.
