D Mangaldas & Co

We have been operating D Mangaldas & Co out of Masjid for a long time. Our place is at number 27, right in the thick of the old trading district. If you know the area, you know how crowded and busy these lanes get with all the porters and handcarts moving around throughout the day. Our shop has that old-fashioned feel to it, with heavy wooden doors and floors that have been there for decades. We do not have a lot of modern decorations or flashy signs to attract attention. It is mostly just desks, big ledgers, and the items we trade in piled up in the corners. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done between all the shipments. We deal with a lot of regular customers who have been coming to this part of Masjid for years. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else's business. We spend our days answering the phone, talking to suppliers, and making sure the orders are ready for pickup. It gets very hot in the summer, and the old ceiling fans just move the warm air around, but we are used to it by now. We do not try to make the place look like something it is not. It is an honest, working office and warehouse space where we just get the daily trade done.
