D K Arts

Our shop, D K Arts, is located at No.1 in the Shiv Sadan Apartment building in Kamla Nagar. Being in Malad West, things are always moving fast, but our little corner feels a bit more like a neighborhood spot. We are on the ground floor, so it's easy for people to just poke their heads in and ask a question. The space is filled with samples of things we’ve made over the years, some of them a bit faded now. We do a lot of hand-painted work and some digital stuff too, depending on what the person wants. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we work. I started this because I liked drawing when I was younger, and eventually, people started asking me to make signs for them. I never really planned for it to become a full-time thing, but here we are. We don't have a front desk or a secretary. You usually just find me or one of the boys with a brush in hand. We try to keep things organized, but when three orders come in at once, the table gets buried under paper and tape. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where the important stuff is. We just like making things that look good for the local businesses around Kamla Nagar. It’s decent work and it keeps us busy through the week.
