Crypton Industries

Crypton Industries is tucked away in Malad West, specifically at 217/C inside the old Bombay Talkies Compound. It’s an interesting place to work because of the history of the compound itself. Our unit is a bit worn out, with heavy doors and high ceilings that stay cool even when it’s hot outside. We do a lot of industrial work here, so there is usually the sound of machinery or tools going in the background. It is not the kind of place where you’ll find a shiny lobby or a receptionist. Instead, you walk in and see people in work clothes moving things around or checking the machines. The floors are concrete and have some oil stains from over the years. We keep our records in big folders on a wooden desk that has been here since we opened. In Malad West, there is always a lot of movement, but inside the Bombay Talkies Compound, it feels a bit like a different world. We have a small corner for making tea and taking breaks when the work gets a bit much. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for years, coming in for specific parts or to talk about a job. It is honest, hard work and we just focus on getting the orders ready on time. There is no polish here, just a lot of activity and things getting built everyday in the workshop. It suits us.
