We are located on the second floor of Ida Mansion, which is at 18/25 Vaju Kotak Marg in Ballard Pier. It is an old building with a lot of character, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up again. Up here, we work on jewelry. It is quiet work mostly, focusing on small pieces and using tiny tools. The light coming through the windows is usually good in the morning. We have benches set up with all our lamps and magnifying glasses. It is not a big corporate setup; it is more of a workshop where things actually get made by hand. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with metal shavings or small beads, but we try to sweep up at the end of the week. Ballard Pier is a nice area to work in because of the old architecture and the sea breeze you get sometimes. We have been in this mansion for a while and we know the other people in the building. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they are in the area. It is a simple business. We just enjoy making the pieces and seeing how they turn out after all the hours spent at the bench. It takes a lot of patience but we don't mind.
