Coral Associates

We’ve been running Coral Associates from Santacruz West 2 for a good number of years. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main market, which suits us just fine. Our office is a bit old-fashioned, with wooden cabinets and a lot of paper folders that we really should digitize one day. We handle mostly local stuff, helping people with their paperwork or whatever business needs they bring to us. It’s a small operation, just a few chairs for visitors and a heavy desk that’s been here since we opened. We usually start the day with some tea and go through the mail. People walk in with all sorts of questions, and if we don't know the answer right away, we usually know who to call. Santacruz has a certain feel to it, and we like being part of the neighborhood. The window looks out onto a small tree that gets a lot of birds in the morning. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to wait for the guy to come fix it, which gives us a chance to actually talk to each other instead of staring at screens. We don't do much advertising; most people just know we're here because they've walked past the sign a thousand times. It’s just a steady, everyday kind of place where we try to be helpful and get our work done before the sun sets.
