Citytimes & Mobiles

Citytimes & Mobiles is located at Goregaon East 4. It’s a small corner, really. We spend our days looking at small screens and tiny parts. The light inside is very bright so we can see what we are doing, which is a big difference from the street outside. Goregaon East is a loud place, especially near number 4. There is always a bus or a rickshaw honking. We have glass counters that we have to wipe down all the time because of the fingerprints. People come in and ask a lot of questions. Sometimes we know the answer right away, and sometimes we have to look it up. We aren't a big corporation or anything. It's just a few of us here. We eat our lunch in the back room, which is actually just a small space behind a curtain. You can hear the fans humming all day long. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. We don't have a lot of room for sitting down, so we stay on our feet. Citytimes & Mobiles has been here for a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around us. But number 4 stays the same. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, watching the time go by on the clocks we have on the wall.
