City Chain

Our place, City Chain, is at 52 LBS Marg over in Cumballa Hill. It’s a well-known stretch of road. The building we are in is quite old, with those high ceilings you don't see much anymore. We spend a lot of time looking at small parts and keeping things organized. The glass displays are the most important part of the shop, so I’m always cleaning them. You wouldn't believe how many fingerprints get left behind in a single afternoon. Cumballa Hill is a busy neighborhood, and we get people from all walks of life walking through the door. Some are in a hurry, others want to talk for twenty minutes about nothing in particular. I try to accommodate everyone. The lighting in here is bright because we need to see what we are doing. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. I arrive, unlock the gate, and start checking the inventory. Sometimes the deliveries from LBS Marg are late because of the heavy trucks, but we make do. It’s a steady kind of business. We don't do anything flashy. No big sales or loud music out front. Just a quiet shop where we take care of the items people bring to us. If you look at the walls, you can see where we’ve hung up old calendars and notes. It’s just how we keep track of things without needing a fancy computer system for everything we own.
