Citibank

So, this is the office for Citibank tucked away in Plot 195. We are in Flat 12 of the Premkiran CHS, which is right in the middle of Sher E Punjab in Andheri East. Mumbai is always loud, but this little pocket feels a bit different. It is a residential building, so you have families living right next to where we work. We show up in the morning, say hello to the security guard at the gate, and head up to the flat. It’s got that old-school Mumbai apartment feel with the heavy doors and the balcony overlooking the street. Working from a flat instead of a glass tower makes the day feel a bit more relaxed. We have our files and computers set up in the rooms. Sometimes you can smell what the neighbors are cooking for lunch, which usually makes everyone hungry early. Andheri East is always a bit of a scramble with the traffic on the main roads, but Sher E Punjab is a bit more tucked away. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we make tea. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a functional space. We spend most of our time answering calls or going through paperwork. It isn’t some big flashy corporate headquarters, just a regular place where people come to get their jobs done before heading home in the evening.
