Our office is tucked away in the Asuda Kutir Co-Operative Society on Waterfield Road. Being in Bandra West, there's always something going on outside our doors, mostly traffic and people headed to the cafes. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good number of years. It’s a residential-style building, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate office at all. We deal with cinema-related things, mostly equipment and coordination for different projects. The space is a bit cramped because we have gear stored in almost every corner and under the desks. We often have people dropping in to talk about upcoming shoots or to check on some equipment they need to rent. It gets a bit chaotic, especially when multiple things are happening at once. The lift in the building is quite small and slow, which is a bit of a pain when we're moving heavy boxes or camera cases. We aren't a huge team, just a group of us who have been in this industry for a long time. We know the ropes and we know how to deal with the unexpected issues that always pop up in this line of work. It’s not always glamorous like people think. There’s a lot of boring logistics and equipment maintenance involved. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized in our own way. The balcony has some plants we try to keep alive, but the sea breeze makes it tough. It’s just our regular workspace.
