Choudhary Furnitures

Our shop is located at 216 Malad West and we have been here for a good many years now. Choudhary Furnitures is a place where you will always smell wood shavings and polish as soon as you walk through the front door. We do not have a big fancy showroom with bright lights like the malls do. Instead we have our pieces of furniture packed in fairly tight and you might have to squeeze past a wardrobe or a dining table to see everything we have. Most of the work happens right here and there is usually a bit of sawdust on the floor even if we sweep it every morning. We have a few workers who are very good with their hands and they have been making beds and chairs for a long time. It is heavy work and sometimes our backs ache by the end of the day from moving the big wooden sofas around. We talk to the local residents in Malad and they often tell us exactly what they need for their small apartments. We do not use any big machines for everything because we still like to do a lot of the finishing by hand. It is an honest way to make a living and we take pride in the fact that our stuff is built to last for a long time. We are just regular people making furniture for other regular people who need good things for their homes.
