Chopawat Plastics

We’ve been here at Jogeshwari West on the Kharadi Bypass Road for a good while now. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks and cars going past 7 all day. Most people know us for the plastic items we keep, everything from buckets and mugs to those big storage crates. We started out small with just a few things on the shelf, but it grew as people in the neighborhood needed more stuff for their homes. My brother and I manage the stock ourselves, usually unloading the new batches early in the morning before the traffic gets too heavy. It gets quite dusty here because of the road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the chairs and tables we display outside. We don’t have any fancy brochures or anything like that. People just walk in, look at what they need, and we tell them the price. Sometimes the monsoon makes it hard when the rain splashes near the entrance, but we just move the lighter plastics further back and keep going. It’s a simple business, really. We handle the accounts in a big ledger book and try to keep things organized so we know what’s running low. Most days it’s just us talking to regular customers or helping someone find a specific size of container that they can't find elsewhere. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but we’re used to the rhythm of this part of Jogeshwari now.
