Charms Classic Deco

Malad is a busy place, especially around Sainath Road. Our shop is tucked inside the Patel Shopping Center at number 225. It’s not a huge space, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of decorative items in there. If you walk in, you’ll see things piled up on the shelves and even some stuff on the floor when a new shipment arrives. It gets a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside at once. We’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers in the center are like family to us. We spend a lot of time just rearranging things so people can actually see what’s for sale. Sometimes the lights in the mall flicker a bit, or it gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep going. People come in looking for something to make their house look a bit nicer, and we show them what’s on the shelves. There isn’t any big sales pitch or fancy catalog to look at. You just have to look around and see what catches your eye. We handle everything ourselves, from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. It’s a bit of a grind with the Mumbai traffic and the crowds, but it’s what we do. We don’t really change much around here, just keep the same routine day after day. It is just a simple business in a busy corner of the city.
