Charkop is a busy place in Kandivaili West. We are in Ankur CHS, which is a housing society on Plot 742 in Sector 7. Our room is D-11. It’s basically a small unit inside the residential complex. Because it’s in a society, you hear the normal sounds of kids playing outside or people talking in the corridors. It’s not like a big glass office tower. We have our workspace set up in the main room. There’s a table where we do all the packing and another one where the computer sits. We have to be careful with the space because it’s tight. Boxes are often stacked up against the walls. We have a small window that lets in some light, but we usually keep the tube light on. It’s a very local feel here. We know the neighbors and the people at the gate. We don't have any big advertisements outside, just the name on the door. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and writing down orders. We take turns going out to get snacks or tea from the stall around the corner. It’s a simple life. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s just a small business unit in a regular Kandivaili building where we show up every morning and do our bit. There is a small metal cupboard where we keep all the important files.
