Chandrika Enterprises

You can find us in Kanjurmarg East, in the Bhat Wado Golwad area. It is a bit tucked away from the main road, so if it is your first time visiting, you might have to ask a local for directions. We have been here at Chandrika Enterprises for many years. We do a bit of everything, from general supplies to small goods, whatever the local market seems to need. The building is quite old but it is sturdy enough for our needs. We have a small porch where we sit for a few minutes during the quiet parts of the afternoon. Inside, the space is mostly filled with inventory. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights. Everything is just kept in cardboard boxes or on simple wooden racks that we built ourselves. It is a practical way to run a shop. My brother and I run the whole place. We do not have a big staff of employees. Usually, it is just the two of us handling the customers and doing the bookkeeping. The books are mostly written by hand in those big red ledgers you see in old shops. It feels more real to do it that way. The light in the back room flickers sometimes, but we have not gotten around to fixing the wiring yet. We know most people in the neighborhood by their first names.
