You can find Chandani Furniture over at 125 Sion Nanpura. We are tucked inside the Ashok Steel Mills Compound, which is a busy place full of different workshops. Our space is usually filled with the smell of wood and the sound of saws going. It’s a dusty environment, but that’s what happens when you’re making things. We don’t have a shiny showroom with bright lights. Instead, you’ll see half-finished chairs or tables waiting to be polished. We’ve been in this compound for quite some time now. Most of the people around here are regulars or folks who heard about us from a neighbor. We work with our hands and try to make stuff that lasts. Sometimes the orders pile up and the shop feels a bit cramped, but we manage. Sion is a central spot, so getting materials in isn't too hard, though the traffic in the compound can be a mess during delivery hours. We just focus on the task at hand, whether it’s a simple cupboard or something bigger. It’s hard work and your clothes get dirty by the end of the day. We don't have a big sales team; usually, it’s just us and the workers. We keep things honest and straightforward. If a piece of wood has a knot in it, we tell you. We just build what people ask for and try to do it right. We might not be the fastest, but we take the time to make sure the joints are tight and the finish is decent.
