You can find Canara Telecom over on Fort Street at No. 5. This part of Preet Vihar 17 is usually quite crowded in the mornings. We have a small shopfront that we try to keep clean, but the dust from the road always finds its way in. There are three of us working here right now. We handle a lot of phone parts and cables. The shelves are getting a bit crowded because we keep everything just in case someone needs a rare part. There is an old calendar on the wall from three years ago that nobody bothered to take down. The fan makes a clicking sound on its medium setting, so we usually keep it on high or low. It’s not a corporate place at all. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the internet goes out when it rains heavily, which makes things a bit slow. We have a small bench outside where the delivery guys sit and wait. The landlord is a nice guy who lives upstairs. He comes down once a month to check on things. We’ve thought about moving to a bigger place, but this one is close to the station, so we stay. It’s a decent enough spot to spend the day. We usually close up around seven and head home. There isn't much to it, just a local telecom shop.
