Blr Transportation & Logistics operates out of B-115/117 in the Virwani Industrial Estate, right off the Western Express Highway in Goregaon East. Being so close to the highway means we hear the constant roar of traffic all day long. It’s a busy estate with a lot of trucks moving in and out at all hours. Our space is mostly taken up by desks, stacks of logbooks, and several phones that never seem to stop ringing. We spend the day coordinating drivers and checking on where the loads are. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes it gets a bit stressful when a truck is delayed or the weather turns bad on the road. We don't have fancy furniture or a modern office design. It’s a functional place where the focus is on the logistics. We often eat our lunch at our desks while talking to someone on the other end of the line. The guys who drive for us stop in to drop off paperwork or grab a glass of water before heading back out. We know the highway well and the various shortcuts through Goregaon. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We don't spend time on fancy brochures or marketing. Most of our work comes from people who have been using our trucks for years and know where to find us in Virwani. It is a noisy place but we are used to the rhythm.
