Black Berry

Black Berry is located right on the main road in Andheri West, just off Ring Road 1. It’s a busy spot with cars honking all day long. We deal with phones and all the little things that go with them. Most of the time, I’m sitting behind the counter looking at cracked screens or trying to figure out why a phone won’t charge. It’s a lot of tiny screws and delicate parts. We carry some covers and screen protectors too, which keep the front of the shop looking a bit more colorful. The light inside is a bit bright because we need to see what we are doing with the small electronics. Andheri is always moving fast, so people are often in a rush when they drop off their devices. We tell them it takes time, but everyone wants their phone back in an hour. We do what we can. The air conditioner is a bit old and makes a constant humming sound, but it beats the heat outside. On Sundays, the road is a bit quieter, which is nice for a change. We started this because we liked fiddling with gadgets, and now it’s just our daily routine. It’s a decent place to work, even if the space is a bit cramped with all the boxes of spare parts. We just stay focused on the work on the table and try to get through the daily pile of repairs.
