Binani Cement

Operating out of Mumbai for Binani Cement is a whole different world compared to the plants out in Rajasthan. Here, it’s all about the hustle and the crowded streets. We don’t have a specific street name listed for this particular office setup, we just say Mumbai and people usually find us eventually. It’s cramped, the humidity is always high, and there’s a constant sound of traffic outside. We handle a lot of the coordination from here, trying to make sure the supply lines stay moving through the city. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting at desks that have seen better days. I miss the open spaces sometimes, but the city has its own energy. The office is usually full of files and old ledgers that we still use because they work. We don't have any of that fancy modern furniture you see in movies. It’s just wooden desks and hard chairs. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall. We’re just a small part of a much bigger machine, trying to keep things organized in a place that feels like it never sleeps. It gets exhausting with the monsoon rains and the heat, but the work is important. We just show up every morning, fight the commute, and do what needs doing until it's time to go home. It's a lot of paper and a lot of coffee, but we get by just fine.
